Mirza Aqa Emami (1881–1955) was a renowned Iranian artist from Isfahan who played an important role in preserving and reviving traditional Persian arts. Inspired by the beauty of Safavid architecture, he devoted his life to studying drawing, miniature painting, and decorative arts. Despite social opposition to artistic careers during his time, he continued his work with determination and helped revive the traditional craft of sukht (embossed and inlaid leatherwork). His contributions left a lasting impact on Iran’s artistic and cultural heritage.
