Master Ali Kermani (1877–1939), later known as Ali Honari, was one of the most distinguished carpet weavers of Kerman, Iran. Renowned for his exceptional craftsmanship, he was considered among the finest rug producers of the late Qajar era. Trained by Master Abolqassem Kermani, he worked closely with the famous designer Hassan Khan Shahrokhi to create some of Kerman’s most exquisite carpets. His name appears on several surviving rugs, helping scholars identify and preserve his artistic legacy. Today, Ali Kermani is remembered as a master weaver whose work contributed greatly to the reputation of Persian carpets worldwide.
